Campion School, Raipur (C.G.), a minority catholic institution was established in July 2007 and is run by the Fathers of the society of Jesus (‘Jesuits’ as they are popularly known ), an international religious order of the catholic church and founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540. It belongs to worldwide networks of academic, business schools and higher learning.
The school has been established by the ‘Madhya Pradesh Jesuits’ and is administered by the same society, a registered body under the societies registration Act –XXI of 1960 with registration No. 77 dated 31st March 1960. It is a co-educational institution with a tradition of loving and respecting relations. The school is affiliated to Central board of Secondary education Delhi, Affiliation No. 3330222.
Care is taken to see that not only high standards are mentioned in the academic ideology but also value education, self discipline and respect for life becomes an integral part of the student’s life. Games and sports are also given utmost priority. The curriculum also provides ample room for co-curriculum activities with the wide variety of event organized periodically throughout the year .
The day today academic administration of the school is entrusted to the principal who is an appointee of the president of Madhya Pradesh Jesuits.As a catholic school, Campion School belongs to a minority community with the power and rights enshrined in the constitution of the nation.
